1. INTRODUCTION
 
Moment of goodbye ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and protects your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how the Loved Ones mobile application ("App") handles information when you use it.

2. DATA YOU ENTER
 
2.1 What Data You Collect Yourself
When you use the App, you can voluntarily enter the following information:
- Names of deceased loved ones
- Birth dates and death dates
- Photos
- Personal notes
- Contact information of surviving relatives (name, phone number)
- Scanned images of memorial cards and gravestones
 
2.2 Where This Data Is Stored
ALL data you enter is stored exclusively:
- Locally on your iPhone
- In your personal iCloud (if you activate iCloud synchronization in the App)
 
2.3 No External Servers
We do NOT collect, store, process, or have access to the data you enter in the App. All information remains completely under your control on your own device and/or personal iCloud account.
 
 
3. ACCESS TO DEVICE FUNCTIONS
 
3.1 Camera
The App requests access to your camera to:
- Scan memorial cards using OCR technology (text recognition)
- Photograph and scan gravestones
- Take photos you want to add to profiles
 
3.2 Photo Library
The App requests access to your photo library to:
- Select existing photos for profiles of deceased loved ones
 
3.3 Contacts (Optional)
The App optionally requests access to your contact list to:
- Link surviving relatives to profiles
- Enable direct calling or sending WhatsApp messages
 
You can choose not to grant this access. The App will continue to function, but you cannot link surviving relatives from your contact list.
 
3.4 Notifications
The App requests permission to send notifications for:
- Reminders on birthdays of deceased loved ones
- Reminders on death anniversaries of deceased loved ones
 
These notifications are generated locally on your iPhone. No data is sent to external servers.
 
3.5 iCloud (Optional)
The App requests access to your iCloud to:
- Automatically back up your data
- Synchronize data between your Apple devices
 
This is completely optional. You can use the App without iCloud synchronization.
 
3.6 Managing Access Rights
You can manage all access rights via:
Settings > Privacy & Security > [Camera/Photos/Contacts/Notifications] > Loved Ones
 
 
4. DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
 
We do NOT collect any of the following data:
- Usage statistics or analytics
- Location data
- Device identification
- IP addresses
- Browsing behavior
- Crash logs or error reports
- Advertising IDs
- Cookies or similar tracking technologies
 
The App contains no analytics tools, no advertisements, and no tracking of any kind.
 
 
5. SHARING DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES
 
5.1 No Sharing
We do NOT share data with third parties. All information remains on your iPhone and/or in your personal iCloud.
 
5.2 Apple iCloud
If you choose to activate iCloud synchronization, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. This falls under Apple's privacy policy. For more information: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
 
5.3 Contacts App
If you link surviving relatives via the Contacts app, the App only uses the contact information you select. This information is stored locally and not shared.
 
 
6. SECURITY OF YOUR DATA
 
6.1 Local Storage
Data on your iPhone is protected by:
- The built-in security of iOS
- Your iPhone passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID
- iOS encryption (if enabled on your device)
 
6.2 iCloud Storage
If you activate iCloud synchronization, your data is protected by:
- Apple's encryption standards
- Your Apple ID and password
- Two-factor authentication (if enabled)
 
6.3 No Online Risks
Because we do not store data on external servers, there is no risk of:
- Data breaches from hacked servers
- Unauthorized access by third parties
- Sale of your data
 
 
7. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)
 
Although we have no access to your data, you always have full control:
 
7.1 Right of Access
You can view all data you have entered via the App.
 
7.2 Right to Rectification
You can modify all data via the edit function in the App.
 
7.3 Right to Erasure
You can:
- Delete individual profiles via the App
- Delete all data by removing the App from your iPhone
- Delete iCloud data via your iCloud settings
 
7.4 Right to Data Portability
You can export your data via:
- The export function in the App (Settings > Export Loved Ones)
- This exports a file that you can save or share
 
Note: Photos are not included in the export, only names, dates, and notes.
 
7.5 No Requests Needed
Because we have no access to your data, you do not need to submit requests to us. You have full control via your own device.
 
 
8. CHILDREN
 
The App is not specifically targeted at children. There are no age restrictions for using the App.
 
Parents/guardians: If your child uses the App, the data entered is only accessible on your child's device and/or in your family iCloud (if shared).
 
 
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
 
9.1 No Transfer by Us
Because we do not collect or store data, there is no international data transfer by us.
 
9.2 Apple iCloud
If you use iCloud synchronization, your data may be stored on Apple servers worldwide, depending on your location and Apple's infrastructure. This falls under Apple's privacy policy.
 
 
10. COOKIES AND TRACKING
 
The App does NOT use:
- Cookies
- Trackers
- Analytics
- Advertising IDs
- Fingerprinting technology
- Or other tracking mechanisms
 
 
11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
 
11.1 Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to:
- Reflect changes in the App
- Comply with legal requirements
- Improve clarity
